I recently returned from a two-week mission trip to Bolivia, a beautiful country nestled deep within the Andes Mountains of South America. My sweet friends, Carrie and Gavin, started a children's home in the rural village of Tacachia in 2008 and I was thrilled to finally visit! The home provides a safe and healthy environment for abandoned and orphaned children. It was built for God's glory and is inspired by Matthew 18:5. The children are well loved ... They receive an education at the community school, learn agricultural skills on an organic farm, enjoy many family activities, and grow spiritually through Christian guidance.
While my team provided a lot of manual labor, we definitely learned more from these 23 children than we every could have dreamed of giving or teaching them!
